Philosophy & Religion question?

answers1: St. Augustine. He is embraced by Catholics and Protestants
alike, and still read after 1600 years.
answers2: Plato & Aristotle, hell some of the writers of the bible
where greek and where platonic or aristotlian philosophers, it is
impossible to truely understand the bible without understanding these
individuals (note that plato had slightly more influence then
Aristotle) <br>
Also much later Kierkegaard did a lot of work on Christian ethics and
the notion of faith.
answers3: those with generalized thought.
answers4: You mean both Advanced & Western religion philosophies at
the same time?
answers5: Descartes. Cartesian philosophy assisted many great
philosophers that came after him, including, Spinoza, Neitzsche,
Schopenhauer, Kant and Liebniz. Cartesian philosophy also influenced
Freud and Jung who I also think have been strong influences on Western
ideology.
answers6: Western religious thought is highly influenced by The Bible,
The Qu'ran, and The Torah. In eastern thought, religious thought is
highly influenced by Chuang-tzu, The Buddha, Sankara, and others, and
in that sense, the most influential philosophers were those who wrote
the standard texts of the seven major world religions. Those texts
would give way to arguments concerning Gods existence, evil,
monotheism, and other doctrines that would pervade philosophy. In
other words, The Torah and Talmud because they came before other
monotheistic religious texts, though Zoroastrianism was the first
monotheistic religion.
