Auditioning for a performing arts college?

answers1: You need to call the place that is having the audition to
find out. A lot of times you can audition as either one but if you
make it into the school you would have move there and take classes
there to finish your education which would be extremely difficult for
you to do as a young dancer. So I say wait until your a Senior in high
school so that way you can just focus on Dance. <br>

Also I think that you should just go to your location and audition
especially if you're close. But, if you feel that your nerves will get
the best of you at auditions and will hinder you from performing your
best and making it into the school than do a video audition
answers2: You apply and audition in your senior year as any college
applicant does. You never audition your junior year. You should visit
the school to see if it is a good fit and you should really audition
in person as most schools don't allow a video audition for admittance.
You also want to see the school facilities and meet with the
department head as well as see a school showing to see if you are a
good fit for a specific school. College costs a lot and it is
important you go to the actual school to check it out in person as
well as audition in person when you are a senior. As a junior it is a
good time to start your research on this. Perhaps visit some more
local schools that have a dance program when they are in session.
Dance Magazine College Guide lists all the major school programs what
they offer and what they require. It might be a good idea to invest in
that.
